In 2008, he was conferred with the title of Padma Shri by Smt. Pratibha Patil, the Honourable President of India. This was for the first time that an NRI from the Gulf was honoured with this prestigious title. The award was given in recognition of his outstanding contributions in the field of industry and social service.

In 2005, he was conferred with the ‘Pravasi Bharatiya Samman’ Award, the highest Indian Government award given to Non-resident Indians by the then President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
Yusuff Ali M.A. received the prestigious Swiss Ambassador’s Award from Wolfgang Amadeus Bruelhart, Swiss Ambassador to the UAE, for his outstanding efforts in promoting Swiss-UAE relations.
EMKE Group founder Yusuff Ali M.A. won the coveted Lifetime Achievement Award at the inaugural Indian CEO Awards held in Dubai recently. He was one of the 16 business leaders to be honoured with the prestigious award.

In 2010, he was bestowed with the Businessman of the Year Award by the State Forum of Bankers’ Clubs- Kerala for his contributions towards the economic and financial development of the country and was presented by Shri. V.S. Achuthanandan, the Honourable Chief Minister of Kerala.

Arabian Business Achievement Awards 2009, under the Patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohd. Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, honored him and awarded Lulu Hypermarket – the retail chain of EMKE Group – with the ‘Retail Company of the Year Award’. The award was given by Mr. Walid Akawi, CEO of ITP Group.
The Times of India Group honored him with this prestigious award for his Corporate Vision.
Mr. Yusuff Ali M. A. was conferred with the prestigious Interfaith Harmony Award as part of the United Nation’s Interfaith Harmony Week initiatives held recently in Kuala Lumpur. He received the award from Dato’ Azman Amin B Hassan, Director-General of Department of National Unity and Integration, Government of Malaysia.

In 2009, he was honoured with the SIB Excellence Award by Shri. Vinod Rai, Comptroller and Auditor general of India, endowed by the South Indian Bank for his meritorious contributions.

In 2007, Mr. Yusuffali was awarded the Asian Business leader of the Year Award by the U.A.E Minister for Energy H.E. Mohammed Bin Dha’en Al Hameli. The award was instituted in the Middle East for the first time and was selected through votes polled across the region and evaluated by the world renowned auditors Price Waterhouse Coopers.

Received the P.V. Sami Memorial Award in 2006 for his contributions in industrial, social, educational and cultural sectors from the former Union Minister of State for Finance Shri. M.P. Veerendra Kumar M.P.

Again in 2006, he was conferred with yet another coveted award, the Rajiv Gandhi Award, by the Honourable Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister of India, Shri. Murali Deora. This was in consideration of his contribution as an NRI businessman in fostering India’s bilateral ties with the Middle East and for generating high employment opportunities for Indians abroad.

Honored with the title of ‘The Commander’ in 2006, by Shri. Vellappilly Natesan, General Secretary of the S.N.D.P. Yogam in view of the services to the Indian community in UAE.

Received the Mena OECD Investor Of The Year 2006 award from H.E. Dr. Salem Bin Nasser Al Ismaili, Executive President of OCIPED for generating employment opportunities through investments in the sultanate of Oman.

In December 2005, he was bestowed with the title of ‘The order of St. George’ by H.H. Moran Mar Baselios Marthoma Didymos I, Catholicose of the East and Malankara Metropolitan, Supreme Head of Malankara Orthodox Church in appreciation of his outstanding contributions to religious harmony, social development and peace.

Conferred with the title of ‘Commander’ in 2004 by His Holiness Moran Mor Ignatius Zakka I Iwas, the Supreme Head of the Universal Syrian Orthodox Church. This was the first time that a person from a different community was being presented with this title. The award was in merit of his efforts in promoting communal harmony and humanitarian activities by the Universal Syrian Orthodox Church.

Best Exporter’s Award from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (APEDA) in the years 1996, 1997, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2005, for exceptional export performance in the agriculture and processed meat products category.

Best Exporter’s award in the years 1996, 1997 and 2003 from the Indian Silk Export Promotion Council for excellence in the export of Indian silks.
Gold Trophy for the financial year 2001-2002 from the Synthetic and Rayon Textile Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC) for excellence in export of Indian Synthetic & Rayon.
In 1992, he received the India International gold Award for his excellent contributions as an NRI exporter, from the Union Minister of State for External affairs Mr. R. L. Bhatia.
